BlackJoyceJoyce Elizabeth Stulce Black, Born April 6, 1946 to Louis and Lois Colclazer Stulce in Mt. Pleasant Utah. Joyce passed away peacefully at her daughters’ home On September 9, 2017 and was reunited with the love of her life Phillip Black. Joyce married Phillip Snell Black March 19, 1964 they were later sealed in the Manti Temple on November 23, 1981.
Mom graduated from Spanish Fork High School and later attended Snow College Graduating with her Associates Degree in Psychology.
Mom overcame many challenges throughout her life and served as an inspiration to her family and all who knew her. Her passion of books and continuing education led her 4 children and many grandchildren to strive and achieve success in all they do.
Mom was an avid Jazz fan and spent many nights listening and following the team she loved.
Survived by her children Christine (Brian) Anderson – West Valley, Preston (Brenda) Black – West Jordan Kelly (Dianna) Black – Kearns, Lisa (fiancé Fred Senn) Dutton – Cedar City, Eli her cherished pet poodle. Brothers Gene Stulce – Springville, Jerry Stulce – Mt. Pleasant, Sister Gwen Abbey – Mt Pleasant Proceeded in the death by her parents Louis and Lois Stulce, Husband Phillip, Grandson Jason Robert Simmons and Granddaughter Jennifer Lee Ann Anderson and son in law Kelly Dutton.
We would like to express a heart felt thank you to Lisa, Fred and their families for the continued care, compassion and love shown to our mother and grandmother.
A special thank you to Cedar City Home Health & Hospice for the compassionate care given to mom.
Mom, We are honored you chose us to be your eternal family. We are happy that you were reunited with all the loved ones you missed so.
Funeral Services will be held Friday September 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the LDS Mt. Pleasant North Stake Center. Viewings will be held Thursday September 14, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary and Friday from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment in the Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery under the care or Rasmussen Mortuary.
