Mary Christine Pogue

3/3/1951 ~ 11/27/2017

PogueMaryObitPicMary Christine Pogue, our mother, wife, best friend, and soulmate passed away November 27, 2017 after a brief illness. Chris, as she was known to everyone, was born March 3, 1951 in Hawthorne, California to Morris and Kathleen Anderson. She moved around a lot growing up, and continued to keep moving thereafter until finally settling down in Wales, Utah where she lived for nearly 30 years. She worked at the Moroni Value Mart for nearly 15 years and loved interacting with everyone who regularly patronized it. What comes down through time as we remember her is that no matter the circumstances there was always food on the table and always love in her heart. Throughout her life she got to experience many different things and go places many of us don’t often go with her husband and family. Now, as she was fond of saying, she is off on another adventure and we all wish her a happy journey until we are rejoined.
She is survived by her brother Stephen M. (Anna) Anderson, sister Margaret Kaye (Ron) Smith, her husband Roy Clay Pogue, Jr., her four children Sean Breazeal, Ian (Valerie) Pogue, daughter Aidan (Charles) Woods, and son Roy Clay (Janine) Pogue, III and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday December 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanpitch Ward Chapel in Wales, UT. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment in the Moroni City Cemetery. Online condolence rasmussenmortuary.com

I understand that there are no words and messages that can help you overcome the sadness and grief you have; but I hope that our presence in thought and mind, will provide you some comfort. Know how much we love you and care for you. Savannah is sending her love to you hoping it will in someway help a little. Shannon my son , sent his best to you.

Hold tight to memories for comfort, lean on your friends and family for strength and always remember how much you are cared about. It is difficult to think of any happiness in times like these but the memory of the one who has left, will prove to be your biggest inspiration and support. We pray the love of God will hold you during your difficult times and he will help you heal with the passage of time.

Our hugs , love , thoughts and prayers are with you now and forever,

It’s two weeks later and I still find myself continually thinking to myself, “I have to remember and tell mom about this tonight”. I still feel like something is missing in between getting home from work, having dinner, and going to bed. I still look at the world through the prism of I want to share what I’m doing with you because you were always genuinely interested in what I found or did.

Telling myself you’re here with me watching over me only goes so far. I miss you deeply and will always have a hole that can never be filled in my life. Until we see each other again, fare well for now.
