NunleyRuby004CropOur sweet kind mother, grandmother, sister and friend Ruby Nunley age 92 passed peacefully from this life, Sunday the June 16, 2019, at Parkway Health in Payson, Utah, with family by her side. Thank you to Lindi from Hospice & Parkway staff. Specials thanks to Betty Black, her good friend and roommate!
Ruby was born December 11, 1926 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Rueben and Sophie Buchanan. She married Wallace Lee Nunley (The Love Of Her Life) July 26, 1946. They were later sealed in Manti Temple June 12 1965.
Ruby was a beautiful person to know. She was very good homemaker, mother, & grandmother. She was an excellent cook. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading and did some tapestry and oil painting. She was very good at pinochle and card player. She also enjoyed bowling, fishing and camping with family. Each one of the grandchildren had a special connection or a specific memory of the love she showed in so many ways.
Ruby and Wallace had six children JoAnne Hamblin (Dave) Oregon; Ronald Nunley (Camille) Moroni, UT; Donna Calhoon (Wilbur) Wales, UT; Barbara Lee (Kenneth) Mt Pleasant, UT; Kelly Nunley (Gretchen) Wales, UT; Keith Nunley (Sandi) Manti, UT. She had 38 grandchildren, 70 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings, Jerry (Jack) Steck, Ephraim, UT; Duane (Viola) Buchanan, SLC, UT; Gail (Pam) Buchanan, Manti, UT; sister-in-law Gail Buchanan, Manti, UT.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wallace; son-in-law Kenneth Lee; brothers, Wallace and Darrell Buchanan; sister Jean Larsen; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral will be Friday June 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Moroni Stake Center with a viewing from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment will follow the services at the Moroni City Cemetery. Online condolences at

    So sorry for your loss. Ruby was an amazing person. She was so kind and giving to everyone. She was always happy and so fun to be around. What an awesome reunion when she was able to join Wallace and the others in heaven. We love you Ruby❤❤❤

    So Sorry for your loss Ron!! It is a hard thing to loss a parent I know I have lost both of them and both of Lilli’s parents are gone to!! I feel your pain Brother and sending our prayers you way!! It is good that we Know that where she is is a much better place!! God bless you and your family!!
