Rasmussen Mortuary has been in operation since 1931. For
three-quarters of a century, we've been providing personal
care and support for grieving families. We recognize that
for many, saying goodbye to a loved one is a difficult and
emotionally trying time. That's why our caring staff goes
out of its way to provide a personal, compassionate touch
for everyone we work with. Rasmussen Mortuary also
understands there are many complicated legal forms and
documents to take care of, and our professional staff is
available to offer its expertise.
Rasmussen Mortuary is a member of the
Utah Funeral
Directors Association and the
National
Funeral Directors Association.

As the National Funeral Directors Association says, “a
funeral is more than a way to say goodbye; it's an
opportunity to celebrate the life of someone special.” At
Rasmussen Mortuary, we strive to arrange funeral services to
provide an appropriate, final tribute for the person we are
memorializing. The actions and characteristics of the person
can be incorporated into each funeral we arrange. At the
same time, we realize some people aren't sure how to plan an
appropriate memorial. That is why Rasmussen Mortuary offers
both pre-planned and custom services.
A funeral service is one in which the body is present; a
memorial service is when the body is not present. Sometimes,
people will request to have a funeral in one location and
then a memorial service at a later date in another location.
Most funerals are held within just a few days of death and
are usually presided by a clergy member. Rasmussen Mortuary
is able to accommodate you, no matter what your needs or
plans are.
Rasmussen Mortuary does not offer grave space but is able to
coordinate transportation to a cemetery of your choosing, as
well as help finding a suitable location.

Planning funeral arrangements is a challenging mix of
wanting the best for our loved ones, yet also being forced
to deal with the realities of cost.
Rasmussen Mortuary realizes that, while it may be hard to
think about money at such an emotional time, ignoring the
financial realities could create serious financial
consequences after the funeral.
The
U.S. Federal Trade Commission says . . .
“Funerals rank among the most expensive purchases many
consumers will ever make. A traditional funeral, including a
casket and vault, costs about $6,000, although "extras" like
flowers, obituary notices, acknowledgment cards or
limousines can add thousands of dollars to the bottom line.
Many funerals run well over $10,000. “
