Louis Kay Sharp was born to Richard Eugene (Gene) and Juanita Lewellyn Sharp on Sept. 9, 1954 in Mt. Pleasant UT. He was raised in Cortez, CO, graduating from high school in 1972. He decided to follow in his Grandfather Sharp’s footsteps to become a butcher and moved to Toledo OH to go to school. Upon completion of this school, he settled in UT; working for Smith’s Food King for many years; later working at Kent’s Market in Ephraim UT where he worked until he retired.
His first marriage ended in divorce but blessed him with two beautiful daughters: Misty Kay and Kammie Diane.
In 2002 he met the love of his life Tamra (Sam) Shaw. They married in July 2002.
He passed away unexpectedly at his home in Fairview UT on Sept 6th.
He is survived by his wife, Sam, daughters Misty and Kammie (Matt), stepdaughters Amanda Maudsley (Patrick), Candace Maudsley (Jon), Leah Romero (Jake); his father Gene Sharp; siblings Beckie Hoey (Don), Debby Sutch (Jerry Dexel), Larry Sharp (Valerie), and Nancy Shelton (Moe); 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Sharp; stepson Joe Maudsley, great grandson Toya Sharp and niece Jessica Sutch.
His leaving has left a hole in our hearts.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2023 in the Fairview 2nd /3rd Chapel (131 E 100 N) with a viewing from 9:30 – 10:30 prior to services. Interment in the Fairview City.

So sorry to read of Kays passing. Kay was always so friendly with me. Always stopped to say some kind word.

I miss you Papa k you were an amazing awesome spectacular grandpa and you were my oompa loompa and always will be I will miss and cherish the memories we had made together and the fun times we spent. Say high to great grandma for me.
