Keith Francis Quarnberg

Keith Francis Quarnberg, 76, passed away on Sept 6, 2022. He was born November 14, 1945 to Francis Merrild and Phyllis Olsen Quarnberg in Salt Lake City, UT. Graduated from Millard High School in 1964. He attended one year at Utah State, then was drafted into the army. We were all very happy that he went to Germany, not Vietnam. After his discharge he enrolled at the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy where he graduated in 1972. He worked at Revco for several years, then at Fry’s until he retired in 2016.

He married Carolyn Boday on Feb 9, 1968. They raised two sons together. He loved the outdoors, spent many happy hours hunting, fishing, and camping growing up, and as an adult with his family. He loved indigenous art with a passion, especially pottery from Mata Ortiz, Mexico and took several trips there to watch it being made. He inherited a green thumb and a love for plants from his mom, had many beautiful plants and cacti around his home.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, Tucson, son Jonathan (Tara), of Mansfield, MA, son Joe, of Tucson, two grandchildren, Arik and Kira of Mansfield. Sisters Arlene Edwards and Dinah Johnson of Beaver, UT, many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Preceded in death by parents and brother Glen.

A visitation will be held in Scipio, UT at the Community Center on Friday, Sept 16 at noon followed by a Service at 2:00 p.m.. Interment in the Scipio Cemetery.
