Mary Kathaleen “Kathy” Vest

Heaven has gained another Angel. A beautiful mother, grandma, sister and friend who lost her life in an auto-mobile accident. Our hearts are truly broken and she will be forever missed.

Kathy was born to Norman Dee Vest (deceased) and Colynn Wilde (Samut) on April 3, 1967 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is survived by her partner, Leo Maestas of East Carbon, Utah, her three daughters, Lynett Alean Vest of Fillmore, Utah, Ambera Ann (Ryan) Farabee of Pahrump, Nevada, Raelean Ann Cables of Las Vegas, Nevada and she has seven grandchildren, Dakoata, Kiason, Taryn, KaeLea, Joseph, Maximus and Zackary.

Kathy has ten siblings, Brent (Donna) Noonen, Brian Noonen, Stephen (Kevin) Foster, Richard Dee Vest (deceased), Shirley Jane (Kirk) Roberts, Cheryl Leigh (John) Coulston, Angala Ann Bellamy with partner Mike, Shellie (Marvin-deceased) Wade, Shawna (Dustin) Sutton, and Shane Carl.

Kathy had a loving stepmother, Mary (Dennis) Clark of East Carbon, Utah, and a stepfather, Calvin Samut of Murray, Utah.

Kathy was a CNA for many years and provided love and care to many patients, she also enjoyed camping, fishing and sewing.

Services will be held Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary (96 N 100 W, Mt. Pleasant, UT 84647) Interment in the Fairview City Upper Cemetery. Online condolence at

    So sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. She was very fun and loving and will be missed terribly. I will remember the first time I met her she was funny. I am glad I got to meet her. She also let me call her mom and I will miss that. So sorry for your families loss.

    My heart and love goes out to everyone affected by this tragedy. I have fond memories of Kathy, she always reached out to me in my times of crisis and was always very welcoming anytime I came around. I am sadden by this tragic news. Sending love to all her family and friends.
