Terry Lee Christensen, 71 of Moroni, Utah, passed away on March 26, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born August 19, 1950, to Earl and Wanda Morley Taylor in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. Married Robert M King in 1970, they had one daughter Lisa. Married Nate Lee Christensen on October 4, 1978, in Mt. Pleasant, Utah and they had one son Revis.

Terry was a very loving person and a source of joy for many. She loved celebrating special events and being with her family, especially her grandkids. She enjoyed cooking and is well known for her great recipes. She was an artist and very creative in all she did. Boyd Jay Bailey, 85 of Sylmar, CA passed away March 6, 2022 in Palmdale, CA. Born December 15, 1936 to Harvey Jay & Della May Hansen Bogh Bailey in Moroni, Utah.

Services will be held Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary (96 N 100 W, Mt. Pleasant, UT, with a visitation starting at 12:00 p.m. Interment in the Moroni City Cemetery with Military Honors.

Marilyn Ward Buckley

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, great aunt and friend, Marilyn Ward Buckley 84 returned to our Heavenly Father peacefully in her sleep on March 24, 2022 from Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Failure. She was born on November 11, 1937 to Parker Matheson and Thelma Leora Ward. Her childhood was filled with love and joy from her parents. Marilyn married James R. Buckley on May 25, 1963, they were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple on March 23, 1978 — which she was blessed to share this sacred ordinance with their two sons hand in hand and her now eternal companion. Maxine McKean Anderson

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend, Maxine McKean Anderson, returned to our Heavenly Father on March 21, 2022 at the age of 88 in her daughter’s home in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. Maxine was born November 24th, 1933 to Theodorus “Mack” Emery McKean and Iva Shepherd in Birdseye, Utah. She was born at home, the youngest of eight children, seven girls and one brother. Much of her childhood was spent helping with the daily farm chores including raising chickens, hauling hay, and herding sheep. She often expressed how grateful she was for her loving parents and wonderful upbringing. They have all passed on now, as she was the last living member of her immediate family. She attended elementary, junior high and high school in Spanish Fork where she enjoyed twirling baton with the school marching band and had many friends that she stayed close to throughout her life. Paul Blaine Stevens

Paul Blaine Stevens traded in his leathered, calloused hands and worn-out body to build his dream cabin in the sky on March 21st, 2022. His wife, daughter, and dog were there to see him off on his next journey. He was welcomed with open arms by those who before him by; his mother, Edna Lucile Stevens; his preceded his father, Blaine Stevens; his sister, Debbie Kennah; his brother, Glen Stevens; his second oldest daughter, Connie Christensen; his son, Allen Paul “Moe” Stevens; and his great-grandson, Jaiden Kirk Christensen.

During his 79 years of life, Paul spent time being a turkey farmer, he worked at the Moroni Processing Plant, he worked as a Chief Turd Herder at the Moroni Treatment Plant, worked as a Police Officer (where he spent time keeping track of his own daughters) for Moroni City. Rebecca Anne Draper Andersson

Rebecca Anne Draper Andersson was born February 14, 1967 to Morris and Carolyn Draper of Mount Pleasant, Utah. Rebecca is preceded in death by her parents, sister Bobie Draper Samora, and daughter Kim Andersson. Rebecca married Leif Andersson of Sweden May 20, 2003. Rebecca leaves behind 7 children; Chandelle (Chris) Lee of Herriman; Mandy (Tyler) Rees of Mount Pleasant; Jessica (David) Peterson of Mount Pleasant; Alicia Peterson of Mount Pleasant; Dominick (Celestina) Booth of Orem; Natasha (Greg) Wooley of Bakersfield; and Kim Andersson Pierucci of Price. Rebecca also leaves behind 14 grandchildren. Rebecca grew up in Mount Pleasant where she spent most of her life. She loved to care for others, cook for her family, spend time with her grandchildren, garden, and work side by side with her father at Draper’s Auto in Mount Pleasant. Rebecca was an active member of her church and loved to study the bible and scriptures of the Jehovah’s Witness.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday March 26, 2022 at the Mount Pleasant Senior Center (101 E 100 N) Family luncheon at 11:30 am and services beginning promptly at 1 pm. Please wear bright colors as this is a celebration!

Gloria Swallow Tomkinson

Gloria Swallow Tomkinson (89) passed away in Fillmore, Utah on March 16, 2022 after a short illness.

She was born on April 18, 1932 in Fillmore, Utah during the Great Depression and learned early to work hard at helping her family in whatever ways she could. At age 12, At age 12, she got her first job outside the home, working as a Soda Jerk at Swallow Confectionary in Fillmore.

She married Melville LeRoy Tomkinson on November 30, 1948 in the Manti Utah Temple.

She and Roy were blessed with six children—Larry S (Janice) Tomkinson, Doyle Roy Tomkinson (deceased at 18 months), Wanda (Del) Despain, Dan Charles (Carole) Tomkinson, Maria (Robert) Reidhead, and Michael Don (Linda) Tomkinson. Read the rest of this entry »

Jeanette E Yardley Burton passed away March 15, 2022, surrounded by her loving husband and sons.
She was born Feb. 23, 1951, in Gunnison, UT; to Howard and Mary Thompson Yardley.
She married David Burton December 13th 1969, and made their home in Mount Pleasant Utah.
Jeanette worked at Utah Sportswear and Pyke Manufacturing. After Pyke’s closed, she formed her own cleaning company hiring local women to help clean homes and offices.

Fredrick Loren Taylor

Fredrick Loren Taylor passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, March 12, 2022. He was born on December 4, 1944. He was the third of ten children born to Hal and Anna Fredrickson Taylor. As a child he was always outdoors riding horses and playing cowboys with his brothers. As a young man he loved playing basketball and football with his friends. He graduated from Springville High School, where he was elected as the student body vice president. After high school he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in England. After his mission he enlisted in the Army to support his country in the Vietnam war, where he received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Trinity Cole Young, 44 of Mt. Pleasant, UT, passed away March 11, 2022. Born September 5, 1977 to Priam Morris & Debbie Averett Young in Payson, Utah. Survived by her Mother Debbie; daughters Alexis Nona and Alyssa LaVina Bogenschutz; siblings Keerston Young, Zachary Young (Ally Lovelett); Brittney Grunig (Colton Grunig); Wyatt Young ( Suzy Gunderson). Preceded in death by her father Priam. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 12:00 noon with a viewing starting at 11:00 a.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary.
