Uncle Bob was truly one of kindest, most optimistic, and loving people I ever met. He had a positive impact on my life (maybe more than he realized) and I presume so many others can say the same. To this day I think about when we lived there and he took me fishing where I caught the biggest fish I have in my life or when he took me to work once to ride the bus and see the town. I love you Aunt Carol and my heart and prayers are with you and everyone else who was lucky enough to have known him.

Uncle Bob, we love you so much. Every Hopi Christmas that we have you will always be in our hearts. You will always be there with us and we will always say a Hopi prayer in your honor. I Know that we will soon see each other in the next life. Please give everyone a big hug for me. In the Hopi way all the uncles are seen as their fathers. That is how I look at you. You were a great man filled with love towards your fellow men and that will be your legacy.

Sorry for your loss. Bob was such a good friend and he started a letter that went to all the missionaries from our ward. He was a great person. I wish I could be there but I am out of state. Love, Jessup

Bob was an icon not just in Utah County but all of UTA. We all knew who the real Santa was! He took care of many people helping them get to important places and live their lives. I only knew him for three years and was lucky to both ride with and learn from him. We will miss him everyday.
