Shirley is the last link to our mom, Marjorie Ramey . When I moved back to Fairview she was my neighbor. We spend a lot of hours on the phone discussing friends, life in Fairview and family. She was a funny feisty loving lady. I can express how much “the girlies” me, Dawnie and Jo Will miss her. She always had an open door policy and a bottle of wine for us when we would visit. She loved her little dogs and Rita’s cat “the prince” (she called him) when he would visit her. She was like a 2nd mother to our sissy Wanda, and grieved with us as family when Wandy passed. I am so sorry for Clancy and J.D. for the loss of their mom. I think she kept those two on their toes. Live is so short and children should remember that. You only have one mother!!!! Her fun micheivous loving ways will leave a good in my life!

We are so sorry for your loss
I have a lot of fun memories of Shirley and Reece. Going back to when Dean and Clancy were just tiny little boys and I use to babysit them. She was always fun to be with. We send our live and deepest sympathy.

Shirley was a fun lady to visit with on her porch when I walked by her house. She always had a smile and loved her little dog. I’ve missed seeing her the last while. May be happy and free from her health challenges. Thoughts and prayers are with your family. May you feel peace through all the memories of this sweet lady.

  8. During the last few years, I’ve visited with Shirley many, many times. I enjoyed having a friend to share each day’s events with. It seems very sad passing her house and not seeing her wave at me from her porch. Our thoughts are with you. We will miss her.
