Arlis Ann Cox of Fairview, Utah passed away peacefully in her home on December 20, 2024. She was born on October 26, 1952, to A. Lee and Loraine Ruby Hasler Anderson in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. Mother of Lori (Travis) Chambers, Dana Cheney (Mario Turner), Richard (Billie) Cox, Michael (Holli) Cox, & Shirleen (Scooter) Cox.
Arlis loved spending her time at the cabin in flat canyon throughout the summer. Always having family gatherings, and welcoming any friend that stopped by with a hot cup of coffee. She and Odell loved spending their time in the mountains taking walks, going on long drives, and hitting the nearest fishing hole. She loved her family more than anything in the world. She always had time for her kids and grandkids regardless of what she was doing. She loved to be down on the floor playing with the kids, having tea parties, letting them do her hair and makeup, or whatever mischief they could come up with. She loved her “bumming” Mondays with friends and family. Going to Tuacahn with her sister and her daughters every summer. Arlis was always up for a good practical joke and having fun. In the last few years she loved coming up with a craft and leading it at “ladies lunch” with her daughter Lori every month.
Arlis was an amazing hairdresser for over 50 years. She loved all her ladies with her whole heart. She took care of everyone from checking in on those that needed it, making house calls, delivering her famous peanut brittle every Christmas, and she never forgot a birthday. When one of her ladies would leave this earth, she always clipped and kept their obituary. She said she was going to do hair until the day she died. She followed through with that promise. There are now going to be a lot of bad hair days around here.
Arlis is preceded in death by her parents, A. Lee & Loraine Hasler Anderson, her husband Odell Cox, her best friend James Cheney, sisters-in-law Dixie Anderson & LuAnn Anderson, her niece Jeannie White.
