Barbara Hopkins Rowley

Barbara Hopkins Rowley passed away peacefully on June 21, 2018 in the Millard Care and Rehabilitation Center in Delta, Utah. Barbara was born January 6, 1924 in Delta, Utah to Cecelia Lott and Thomas W Hopkins. She married Freeman Rowley February 14, 1942 in Delta, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple on April 11, 1964. She served many years in the LDS Primary in the presidency and as a teacher. She also served in the PTA and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was part of the group of seamstresses to begin work in the first sewing factory in Fillmore. She also worked many years at Duane’s Food Town.
She is survived by sons, Rex (LaJeanne), Marc (Carolyn), Duane (Toine) and John (Dorrie), 11 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Freeman; son Robert; also her parents and brothers Glen, Brog, Morris, Don Hopkins, sisters Arletta Barnes and Elaine Davidson; great granddaughter Marie Warnick.
Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, June 25, 2018 at the Fillmore, Utah First and Fourth Ward, 290 E 500 So from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Graveside services will be held at the Fillmore Utah Cemetery at 12:00 p.m.
