Carey Ivory passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, Wednesday, January 8th 2025. She fought a courageous battle against cancer at the peak of a life that was remarkable. A wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, teacher, mentor, and friend, Carey epitomized grace, love, and generosity.
Carey was born in Orange County, California, June 23, 1968, and moved to Utah as a little girl. She married her highschool sweetheart Wes Ivory who she had three amazing kids with. A dedicated mother, who showed up for everything. Even taking on coaching roles and running the PTA.
Becoming a teacher was a dream come true and her passion for teaching was easy see. Dedicated to her students, she went above and beyond for them. She was also a teacher at home and shared her love of reading with her children and grandchildren. Every Christmas, you could count on receiving a beautiful book from grandma. Of all her roles, grandma was her favorite. She loved her 9 little grandkids so much and made each feel special and loved.
