Chad Frank Olsen

Chad Frank Olsen, 93, Passed away at home in Mt Pleasant, Tuesday, July 2, 2024.

Chad was born October 13,1930, in Magna, and was the son of Frank Arthur Olsen and Elma Larson Olsen. Spent teen years in old Granger, Utah. Graduated from Granite High in 1949. Married his high school sweetheart, Elaine Mauchley in the Salt Lake Temple Nov. 4, 1949. They Raised nine children in old Bennion, Utah. Children are: Reed (Gayla) Olsen, Jennie (Nolan) Phillips, Laraine (Craig) Phillips, Joy (Mike) Wahlin, James (Juliann) Olsen, Kerrie (Brett) Curtis, Becky (Al) Reese, Heidi (Doug) Ross, and David (Sauna) Olsen. He has also been blessed with 37 grandchildren and their spouses and 92 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Chad was preceded in death by the love of his life Elaine Olsen, Parents, Brother Boyd Olsen, Daughter in law Christine Olsen, and great-granddaughter Saibrynn Hamblin.

Chad was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served faithfully in many calls including Bishop, and Stake Patriarch and many others throughout his life. Elaine and Chad served a full-time mission in Armenia. Worked for Kennecott Copper Refinery for many years also as a contractor building many homes.

Chad was happiest when he was in his garden and working the land wherever he lived. Many were blessed by his produce. He loved the outdoors and spent many hours in the mountains of Utah hiking and camping.

Moved to Mt Pleasant, Utah in 1996. Bought a couple of real estate plots in the city cemetery. Graduated from mortality July 2, 2024. Going away party viewing Sunday, July 7, 2024 from 5 - 7 PM. Also Monday viewing 11:30 AM -12:30 PM with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM. at the Mt. Pleasant Stake Center, 300 S. State Street (yellow building). Interment in the Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery.
