Dana Cheryl Guymon was born September 5th, 1946, in Yuma, Arizona. Cheryl passed away peacefully at her home in Spanish Fork, Utah on July 21, 2024.
Cheryl moved to Utah to attend college at BYU. She married Eddie Guymon on September 21, 1970.
Cheryl's greatest joy in life were her children and grandchildren, and she didn't mind filling the role of mom or grandma for all their friends.
Cheryl was a big fan of the Utah JAZZ. She could usually be found reading a book, creating beautiful diamond art, and doing crossword puzzles. Cheryl also loved fresh flowers!
She was sweet, loving, comforting, generous, hard working, and a great listener.
Cheryl loved spending time with family and made sure everyone felt loved and valued. She loved cooking and baking with her grandkids year round, and having sleepovers where a Little Caesars Pizza was always a favorite.
She made Christmas a holiday to remember for everyone each year; Mr. and Mrs. Claus always made a special appearance!
Cheryl always said: "I'm just living one day at a time"; and she never let a single day go to waste. She loved her family hard and generously.
Cheryl is survived by her three children: Dana Cox, Justin (Mandy) Guymon, and Kristy (Ryan) Carter; eight grandchildren: Brandon, Kallie, Nicholas, Trevor,
Chase, Easton, KodiAnn, and Nyle; two great-grandchildren: Emersyn and Tayge, with one on the way; and sister Karen Kiggins. Cheryl is preceded in death by her daughter Tamee, grandson Colton, parents Barbara Johnson and Max Acord, and sister Barbara Lynn Dixon.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
