David James Eicher, 72 of Mount Pleasant, passed away September 5, 2022 of complications of end stage renal failure. David was born July 10, 1950 to Ray Donald Eicher and Rena Evelyn Sinclair in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dave grew up in Tuba City, Arizona on the Navajo/Hopi Indian Reservation. He Spoke fondly of the memories of this beautiful and sacred place. He mentioned that he didn’t appreciate the beauty of the red rock while he lived there but missed it when he was gone. He lived in Orem, Utah for many years and leaves life long friends there.
He is survived by his son Daniel Evan and Aftin Eicher. Kailua, Hawaii. Grandson Even Eicher of Spanish Fork, Utah. Brothers Don and Kathleen Eicher of Fairview, Utah; Dan Eicher of Provo, Utah. Preceded in death by both his parents.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and techs of the numerous facilities that helped prolong his life. Intermountain Transplant Facility, Murray, UT, Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, Provo, The nurses and Lab Techs of Sanpete Valley Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, Davita Dialysis Center, Salem, Utah and Dr. Kristin Lyle, Nephrology Department, Revere Health Salem/Provo, Utah
A Graveside service will be held Monday, September 12, 2022 at the Fairview City Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. with friends and family gathering at 10:00 a.m. He will be interred in a family plot next to his parents. In Lieu of flowers he has asked that a donation be made to the Sanpete Pantry in Mount Pleasant, Utah. He spent many hours collecting and crushing cardboard in an attempt to help fund the pantry.
