Donald V. McIntosh beloved father, son, and brother, died on July 10, 2021 in Gridley, California where he was living with his daughter Susan Crabtree.
Don was born on December 28,1930 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah to Vance and Florence Monsen McIntosh. The family later moved to Provo, Utah where Don attended BY High School. He got his Bachelors and Masters degrees from BYU.
Don married Maxine Grosjean in1959. The marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Temple. He was an active member of the LDS Church. Don served in the army during the Korean War. He was stationed in Europe.
Don starred on many winning basketball teams for BY High School, All Church Basketball, and in the army. He won championships in tennis in the senior games in his 70’s.
Don coached the basketball team for the American Fork Cavemen that won several State Championships. Later, Don and his family moved to Pueblo Colorado where he coached basketball for the University of Southern Colorado. He was inducted into five different Hall of Fames for playing and coaching basketball and tennis.
He is survived by his son David McIntosh, Sarasota, Florida, daughter Susan Garcia Crabtree, Gridley, California, and two grandsons Joshua Garcia and Brady Crabtree. Don was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Fern M. Jacobs and Jean M. Kennedy, and brother Edwin McIntosh.
