Dorthy Lou Burns Mecham, 84 passed away September 1, 2022 after a short illness, in St. George, Utah. Born January 16, 1938 to Burnice John and Viola Louisa Cloward Burns in Vernal, Utah.
Married Kay C Mecham September 10, 1955 in Garden Grove, California.
Dorthy was a fun loving kind person who like all kinds of crafts. She was really talented with her hands and exspecally loved to sew for her grandchilderen. She loved her family. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and serviced on various positions.
Survived by Leland (Brook) Mecham; Randall Mecham; Virginia (Larry) Kearney; Kaylene (Jeff) Smith; daughter-in-law Debbra Meacham; 16 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Kay C Mecham; son, Jack Mecham; grandchildren, Jeannie Marie, Roger Wilcox; siblings Clell, Clyde, Clara, Nelda, Melba and Jack.

A celebration of life will be held Wednesday September 7, 2022 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary ( 96 N 100 W, Mt. Pleasant, UT). Interment will be in the Moroni City Cemetery.
