Grant Tidwell Winkelman Jr., 78 of Fairview, Utah passed away February 15, 2022. Born March 31, 1943 to Grant Tidwell & Barbara Grimes Winkelman. Life long companion Renato Delos Reyes Causapin who married in 2013.

Grant was born in St. George, Missouri and lived all over the place from San Bernardino, CA to Oakland, CA where he met Renato and finally settled in Fairview, Utah. As a young kid, he would spend summers in Utah visiting his Grandfather and loved to help out on the ranch in Mount Pleasant. In 1966, he joined the Peace Corp as a volunteer teaching English in Jilib, Somalia. After proudly serving the peace corps, he did child protective services for a while but ended up as a dental technician and laboratory owner for over 40 years. He enjoyed road trips to National Parks, especially his favorite, Bryce Canyon. Cutting rocks was his forte, gardening was his passion and he adored his cats.

Grant is survived by his husband Renato Causapin; brother Dane (Penny) Winkelman. Preceded in death by his parents; sisters Sue Evon & Kay Elizabeth.

Funeral services will be held Thursday February 24, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary (96 N 100 W, Mt. Pleasant, UT) with a viewing one hour prior starting at 10:00 a.m. Interment in the Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery.
