2/9/1955 ~ 2/5/2023
John L. Busenbark, 67 of Moroni, Utah, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2023.
John was born February 9, 1955 in San Francisco, California to Duane and Fay Busenbark. He grew up in Pacifica,California. He married Susan Wysling (later divorced) and they had two sons, Timothy Duane Busenbark and Christopher Busenbark.
While he was in high school, he would come to Utah and spend the summers in Jerusalem helping his Uncles Max and Jack on the farm. He was a tow truck driver while he lived in California. He moved to Utah in 2002. He enjoyed buying old vehicles and repairing them and helping family with car repairs. He would also do snow removal and plow gardens for his friends in Moroni. He was always willing to help out. He looked forward to his Friday lunches at the Burger Bar with Alan, Brenda and Ross Bailey and Dewey.
One of his greatest pleasures was camping and 4-wheeling. He would ride his 3-wheeler up trails only goats should go on. Around the camp we called him “Fire Marshall Bill”. He enjoyed starting campfires and while sitting around the fire, he would keep “stirring” it to ensure there were embers flying everywhere. He really enjoyed the “small town” activities. He would go to all the parades, demolition derbys and the Nephi rodeo with his brother-in-law, Juan.
John enjoyed listening to Celine Dion and even took his niece to see her in Las Vegas. He was a devoted San Francisco 49ers fan. John had a goofy personality and a laugh you could hear for miles. And let’s not forget to mention his love for cake!
John faced several health challenges over the past few years, and tried to make the best out of his situation.
Survived by son, Christopher (Angela), grandson Aizen, sisters, Arlene Duncan and Leslie Miramontes, and brother-in-law Juan Aguado. Preceded in death by his son, Timothy Duane, parents, Duane and Fay Busenbark, sister Pauline Aguado.
Graveside services will be at the Moroni City Cemetery on Saturday, February 11th at 1:00 p.m. Friends and family can gather at 12:30. Followed by a luncheon at the ward house in Moroni.
