With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we bid farewell to John Mark Dalton, who peacefully  passed away on the morning of July 25, 2023. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and sibling. He  left an unforgettable mark on the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Born on January 27, 1957, to Lawrence Edward Dalton and Helen Mae Cox Dalton. John was born eighth  out of the nine children and grew up on a farm in West Jordan. After graduating from Delta High School  in 1975 and attending SUU in Cedar City, he embarked on a journey that led him to meet the love of his  life, Julie Eckley. They shared a life in West Valley City before relocating to Ontario, Oregon, where they  spent several years before finding their dream home in Fairview, Utah.

John had a long prestigious career in food manufacturing and was well respected by those he worked  with. He was a passionate supporter of the Utah Utes and the St. Louis Cardinals, always cheering them  on with unwavering loyalty. John was a wonderful cook. He always made enough food to feed a small  army because he didn’t want anyone to go hungry. He also loved listening to music and had a very  diverse playlist. John’s true joy came from spending time with his family creating precious memories.  John found pleasure and peace fishing and golfing.

John’s most exceptional quality was his genuine love and support for others. He had an innate ability to  be the first to lend a helping hand during difficult times, by offering kindness and empathy without  hesitation. John could talk to anyone, with a humble knowledge of whatever the subject was. John could  make you laugh.

As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the life of a remarkable man whose love, compassion, and  unwavering support touched the hearts of all fortunate enough to have known him. John’s life and  legacy will forever live on in our hearts.
