Kathy Hill Hammond

Kathy Hill Hammond, 72 of Mt. Pleasant, UT, passed away peacefully on the evening of November 1, 2019 at her home, surrounded by family and love. Kathy was born on September 4, 1947 in Payson, Utah to Kenneth and Irene Hill. She had shared 48 years of her life with her husband, Leslie Boyd Hammond, whom she married on June 8, 1968.

She loved to have meaningful conversations with everyone that she knew. She would strike up a conversation with everyone that she met and really enjoyed talking with new people. She loved flowers and to crochet. She really enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved when her grandchildren and great-grandchildren would do her hair, makeup, and nails, even when it was silly. She loved to joke around and tell stories with her friends and family.

Kathy is preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Boyd Hammond; parents, Kenneth and Irene Hill; sister, Carolyn Frost; grandson, Damian Hardman; and son-in-law, Robert Hiller.

Kathy is survived by her children, Debbie (Darren) Jarman, Leslie Jr. (Terra) Hammond, Tonya (Brent) Hovinghoff, and Susan (Mark) Hardman; siblings Maureen (Charles) Trotter, LaRay Hill; brother-in-law, Kenneth Frost; 14 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

Kathy will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all those that had a chance to meet her.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mt. Pleasant 5^th Ward Building (49 South State). Viewings will be held Friday, November 8, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary and Saturday 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment in the Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery.
