Keith Lamont Orton

Keith Lamont Orton, 82 of Mt. Pleasant passed away October 5, 2024. Born May 29, 1942 to Leroy Irven & Ileda Rose Garlick Orton in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Keith worked as a welder for Marks Steal for many years. He then moved on to be in the maintenance department as a welder with Interstate Brick where he retired. He was a Scout Leader in Mt Pleasant helping the youth anyway he could. He loved being close to the mountains due to his passion for hunting, fishing and prospecting for gold. During all of his adventures his dogs were always by his side. They truly were his best friends.

Keith is survived by his wife Marlene Kay Orton; children Holly (Robert) Olson, Sean (Jamie) Martin, Brett Martin, Troy (Stacey) Orton, Heath Orton, 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; siblings Larry Orton, Ron (Sonya) Orton, Tony (Marylane) Orton, Roger (Pam) Orton, Lois (Dick) Poole. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jerry and Ralph, sister-in-law Sonja Orton.

The family would like to express their gratitude to his neighbors for helping Keith in all his times of need.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. in the Mt. Pleasant 4th Ward Church (49 South State, Mt. Pleasant, UT 84647).
