Leona Adaline Felton Lichtenwalter passed away January 13, 2020 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. She was born March 17, 1923 at Moland, Minnesota. She was the second child of Adelbert Austin Felton Jr. and Ina May Griffin Felton. Her siblings were an older brother, Clyde Faudyce Felton and younger siblings Earnest Lyman Felton, Almerta Aretha Ferdon, Edna Marie Faanes, and adopted son Clyde Faudyce Felton Jr. She is survived by Almerta Aretha Ferdon of Sunset, Utah and Clyde Felton Jr. of Indiana. She joined the WAVES in 1943 where she met and married Calvin John Lichtenwalter of Chicago, Illinois, a Marine double amputee. They were married Feb.10, 1945 at Mare Island, California. Leona was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints June 24, 1940 at Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Cal joined the church and they were sealed May 30, 1951 in the St. George temple. She is survived by three children. Kay Ellen Nelson of St. George, Utah, Calleen Jane Bataiff of Clifton, Idaho, and Carla May Lichtenwalter of Fairview, Utah. She is the grandmother of seventeen grandchildren, forty-one great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. She served the church in many callings and went on multiple missions for the church as an older couple. Cal died Nov. 6, 2005. She will be buried at the Clifton, Idaho Cemetery next to her husband on January 18, 2020. Online condolences at rasmussenmortuary.com
