Leonard Glen Everitt

January 17, 1933 — September 25, 2024

Spring City

Leonard Glen Everitt was born January 17, 1933 in Moroni, Utah to James Alma Sr. and Elizabeth Riley Everitt. At the age of six his mother died and his father married his mother’s twin sister, Margaret, whom Leonard called “Aunt Bess”.

Leonard married the love of his life, Glenna Helen Jensen, on June 9, 1952. They enjoyed 71 years of marriage before she passed away in February of this year. Leonard died of a broken heart at the age of 91 on September 25, 2024. Besides his mother, father, step-mother, and wife preceding him in death, all of his siblings passed before him: Alma (Nelda) Everitt, Margaret (Clifford) Jorgenson, Renon (Gordon) Thomson, William (Barbara) Everitt, Ada (Thayne) Jarrett, June (Ralph) Lund, Constance (Earl) Jones, and LaMar Everitt.

Leonard and Glenna had three children, Glen (Karen) Everitt, Patricia (Danney) Webb, and Randy (Renae) Everitt, 18 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. Besides his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Leonard is survived by a sister-in-law Darlene Everitt of Nephi.

Leonard worked hard to support his family. He was known in the community of Spring City for being on the city council and for being the custodian at Spring City Elementary. Leonard belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served diligently in several callings.

Leonard was a farmer raising cattle, sheep and crops. He began shearing sheep at the age of 29 and sheared his final sheep at the age of 86.

Leonard really enjoyed fishing. His family wants to give a big thanks to all his “fishing buddies”. His last fishing trip was just a month before he passed.
