Lyle J. Vance

7/18/1939 ~ 12/9/2021

Lyle J. Vance, born July 18, 1939, left this earth on Thursday December 9, 2021, peacefully at his home in Mt. Pleasant. Lyle was born and raised in Fairview, Utah. The oldest child of Lyle R. And Sanoma Vance. He served as a field radio operator in the marine corp during the Korean War. Being a marine was his proudest accomplishment.
Lyle married Evelyn Syndergaard in 1960, later divorced. They had 4 girls together. Connie Lyle Symes, Jaylynne Jackson, Joanne Vance (deceased), and Tammy Gasser. “His Girls” were the light of his life.
He married Barbara Wilkos in February 1987. They loved to travel and enjoyed many vacations and new sights. She was his Best Companion, and life-long “Gal”. Barbie was at his side in the end. A constant care-giver. Tireless and loving.
Lyle loved business and was a business owner and real estate rentals for most of his life. He liked the Utah Jazz and Denver Broncos. He was an avid Tiger Woods fan. He is survived by his wife Barbara; three girls Connie Vance Symes, Jaylynne (Jay) Jackson, Tammy (Len) Gasser; his sister Patricia (Neil) Draper; brother Dell (Ann-Maree) Vance; four step-children Cheryl (Allen) Baugh, Michael Cowart, Gail (Matthew) Laver, Susan (James) Gorringe ; 18 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday December 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fairview City Cemetery.
