Margaret Ann Peebles Thompson
Our loving mother, grandmother, and friend, Margaret Ann Thompson moved on to greet the love of her life on April 19, 2023, while being surrounded by family in Salt Lake City, UT. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was born on February 15, 1947 to Earl Lindley & Marva Agnes Peebles in Erie, PA. She attended BYU, receiving a B.S. in Sociology. While there, she met the love of her life, and on December 19, 1968, married Charles Dale Thompson in the Manti Temple. Together they saw the world, traveling to 6 of the 7 continents and seeing the 7th from a cruise ship.
She had a passion for crocheting and for genealogy, being a leader in inspiring others to seek for their family’s history and origins. She also enjoyed square dancing with her husband.
She leaves behind eight of her nine children. Son: C. Alan (Tamara), David (Jennifer), Steven (Rachael), Matthew (Michelle), Nathan (Catherine), Kenneth (dec.) (Katrina), Lance (Tiffany) and daughters: Barbara (Rulon) Rasmussen Jessop and Jolene (Clint) Bissell. She also leaves behind 36 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. a
She is preceded in death by her husband her parents, and her son. Kenneth.
A viewing will be held April 29th from 11:00 – 1:00 PM at Rasmussen Mortuary in Mount Pleasant, with at Mount Pleasant City Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
