Marilyn Brown

Marilyn Brown, 76 of Mount Pleasant, passed away August 1, 2023 in Elmo, Utah. Born January 28, 1947 to Alden Loraine & Hazel Athaleen Holman Shepherd in Mount Pleasant, Utah. Marilyn married Richard Earl Brown April 29, 1966 in the Manti Temple. They were blessed with two sons Todd and Rick.
She was a master seamstress and worked many years for Pacific Trail, Pyke Manufacturing and Rivers West making apparel where she took great pride in her work. Marilyn loved road trips, shopping, reading books and crossword puzzles. She especially loved family gatherings with her kids, grandkids and siblings.

Marilyn is survived by her sons, Todd Brown (JD Burton), Rick (Tera) Brown; five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild; siblings, Betty-Kay (Ralph) Wright, Marcia Nay, & JoAnn (Allen)Nielsen. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard, siblings LaFaye Hamilton, Debbie Shepherd, Robert Shepherd, nephew Michael & Kenny Hamilton.

Funeral services will be held Saturday August 5, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mt. Pleasant 4th Ward Chapel (49 S State). Viewings will be held Friday from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. and Saturday 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. prior to services both at the church. Interment in the Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery.
