Markus K Hermansen

Markus K. Hermansen, 62, Passed away at home in Salt Lake City.

Markus was born on April 26, 1962 in Salt Lake, to Dale K. Hermansen and Birtha Olevia Peterson-Hermansen. Graduated from Layton High School Class of 1980, Attended Weber State University and went on later to graduate from Salt Lake Community College. Markus was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served faithfully in many callings including serving an LDS Mission in Alberta, Canada.

Markus enjoyed being a true humanitarian by always giving what he could to anyone in need. He was always full of many jokes and enjoyed making others laugh. Markus was always full of adventure and loved to be spontaneous such as road trips to see family, sight-seeing and going to new places. He was always very resourceful and intelligent. Markus was happiest when he was in his garden or being around the ones he loved. His kindness, laughter and love will always remain in our hearts.

Markus went on to become a father of six children: Jon Cates, Joshua Cates, Desaree (Aaron) Frost, Jessica (Erik) Henson, Markus L. Aaron (Delaney) Hermansen, Brittany Wirick Hermansen. As well as a grandfather of seven grandchildren.

Markus is survived by his brothers and sisters: Rodger (Lisa) Hermansen, Wallace J (Julie) Hermansen, Nanette Lynch, Mitzi (Mark) Baker. Nieces and nephews Jason Hermansen, Erica Hermasen, Shawna Hermasen, Amber (Shane) Cowdell, Jeffery Hermasen, Austin (Shay) Hermasen, Colton Hermasen, Brandon Lynch, Brenda Barrow, Jordan Barrow, Celeste Barrow.

Markus is preceded in death by his parents Dale K. Hermansen, Birtha Olevia Peterson Hermansen, Son Joshua Cates, grandparents Joseph Hermansen, Florence Jensen Hermansen, Wallace Franklin Peterson and Lucile Seeley Peterson.

Funeral services will be held at Rasmussen Mortuary (96 N 100 W, Mt. Pleasant, UT 84647) Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior starting at 10:00 a.m. Interment in the Ephraim Park Cemetery.
