Our amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Michelle Coates passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on June 22, 2019.
Michelle was born September 30, 1966 in Tremonton, UT to Glen and Alice Coates. She is the third of four girls.
She was proud of representing Mt. Pleasant City as Rodeo Queen of the 1981 rodeos and parades.
Chelle loved her family. She met the love of her life Kevin Otteson on March 2, 1983. Together they had three beautiful daughters.
She worked for the State Road, flagging and later went to work at the Mt. Pleasant Maverik a place she truly enjoyed and made a lot of friends.
She enjoyed camping, riding horses and family gatherings. She loved her grandkids and all her nieces and nephews so much, of which she spoiled them rotten.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is survived by the love of her life Kevin; three daughters, Jackie (Brad) Parish; Amanda (Jeremy) Jorgensen; Samantha Otteson (Mel Johnson) all of Mt. Pleasant; three grandkids, Avery, Braxton, Kaleb Parish; sisters, Sue Ann (Arnold) Moosman, Mt. Pleasant, UT; Tammy Coates, Spring City, UT; Debbie (Tom) Rocco, South Jordan, UT; mother-in-law Diane Otteson, Mt. Pleasant, UT; many brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law Donelle Otteson; sister-in-laws Lisa Hubbs and Tami Terry; special cousin Dawn Rigby; niece Kammy Edmunds, nephews Travis Terry, James Danner and Brayden Otteson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mt. Pleasant North Stake Center. Viewings will be held Friday June 28, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary and Saturday from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment in the Mt.
