Richard “Rick” Brannon

Castle Dale – Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle Richard Lee Brannon, age 63, returned to his Heavenly Father on January 8, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 8, 1955 in Oroville, CA, son of Freda and Clifford Brannon. He married the love of his life, Marla Nelson on January 15, 1977 in Lawrence, UT.
Rick drove truck for over 25 years. He also worked in the Wyoming oil fields until he retired to Castle Dale, UT in 2014 where he resided until his death. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his family. He was always happiest camping with his loved ones and spending time on the desert with his brother-in-law, Rod.
Rick is survived by his wife, Marla of 42 years; 2 daughters, Rikki (Jeremy) Tidquist, April (Mike) Brannon; one son Kenny (Andrea) Brannon; seven grandsons, three granddaughters, several nieces and nephews; three brothers and one sister. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, one brother (Kenny), and father-in-law Stanley Nelson.
Services will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Castle Dale, UT, LDS Stake Center on Main Street and Center. Visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at the Lawrence, UT
Cemetery immediately after the services.
