Shellee Rigby 52 of Mount Pleasant, UT passed away July 6, 2019 in Provo, UT. She was born August 19, 1966 in Detroit, MI to Jon Gregory Long and Elizabeth “Betsy” Ellen Marwick Long. She moved to Manti, UT where she went to Jr. High and then moved to Mount Pleasant, UT where she graduated from North Sanpete. She met her best friend and the love of her life Blake Allen Rigby while in Jr. High and started dating in High School. They were married February 25, 1984 in Mount Pleasant, UT. They had two children, Ashlee and Emilee. Shellee then went to Snow College and got her Associates degree and then went to Utah Valley University and Southern Utah University and got her bachelors degree in Elementary Education. She taught at Mount Pleasant Elementary for 19 years and then the last two years at Wasatch Academy. Shellee loved taking RV trips, camping and spending time with her family, kids and grandkids. She loved her dogs, Teddy and Frankee. Survived by her husband, Blake Allen Rigby, Mount Pleasant, UT; children, Ashlee Ann Searle, Mount Pleasant, UT; Emilee Elizabeth Rigby, Mount Pleasant, UT; grandkids, Chevy Allen Searle & Aspenn Elizabeth Olsen, Mount Pleasant, UT; parents, Betsy & Jon Long, St. George, UT; siblings, Christopher “Gern” David (Janis) Galbraith, Mount Pleasant, UT; Cassie Marie Strate, Salt Lake City, UT; Poppy Ann Jaques, St. George, UT; Starr (McKay Vercimak) Johnson, St. George, UT; grandmother, Shirley Ann Rohde, Clinton Township, MI. Preceded in death by her grandfather, Robert Richard Rohde. Funeral service Saturday July 13, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mount Pleasant 4th Ward Chapel (Red Church).
