On August 1st, 2020 in Pleasant Grove, UT Shelly Hal Prows, 81, joyfully returned into the loving arms of his wife Brenda, his son Stephen and many other friends and family including his parents Fay and Elva (Nash) Prows. Shelly was born in East Millcreek, Utah. He spent his childhood in Duchesne, UT then moved to Tooele where he graduated high school in 1957. He served an LDS mission in Montana. He enlisted in the National Guard and was called to active duty in 1956 then he served in the Army and was called to active duty in 1961. After separation from the Military he was called on another LDS mission to build a church on the Navajo Reservation where he met his first wife and mother to nine of his children. After 21years together, they dissolved their earthly union and he then met his wife, Brenda in Salt Lake City. They were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple March 29th, 1990. They welcomed a son, Danny who they raised on the Navajo Reservation before moving back to Sanpete County. Shelly’s posterity includes 11 children: Ronald E. Prows, Darryl W. Prows, Stephen M. Prows (deceased) Brian H. Prows, Maria Michele Carlson, William J. Prows, Rosalie M. Curtis, Kenneth R. Prows, Amanda K Lefluer, Robin S. Vega and Daniel T. Prows, 25 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 7 great, great grandchildren. Shelly will be remembered for his generosity and work ethic. This beloved, hardworking man will be laid to rest on Tuesday August 4th, 2020 in the Tooele City Cemetery 361 S. 100 E. Tooele, UT 84074. A viewing will be held at 10:00am followed by a graveside service at 10:30am. In order to reduce the potential risks to our health please practice social distancing, recurring use of sanitizer and the use of face masks if possible. Also, because of the Covid-19 virus, NO compassionate services will be provided. So in Lieu of flowers the family requests that you take your families out for lunch after the service.
