Sherman Bryce Anderson, born December 3, 1948, in Fairview, Utah, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Bryce lived life on his own terms—a true cowboy drifter with a heart full of adventure and a spirit that could never be tied down. He proudly served his country in Okinawa Japan during the Vietnam War, carrying that same determination and grit throughout his life. After his service, Bryce worked as both a truck driver and a coal miner, eventually returning to truck driving, where he finished out his career with Barney Trucking.
He had a passion for the open road, often found with his brother Wayne, driving through Millburn, up Fairview Canyon, across Skyline Drive, and back again, always on the lookout for deer and elk with his trusty binoculars close at hand. Bryce had an undeniable love for old high-boy Ford trucks(which only made it to primer grey), wearing the tires thin as he chased new horizons.
An avid archery hunter, Bryce’s dedication to the hunt knew no bounds—he’d leave any job behind for the chance to be out in the wilderness, bow in hand. When he wasn’t hunting or on the road, he was fishing anytime he could, always on the lookout for a big catch, especially walleye.
Bryce is survived by his beloved children, Traci and Brock Richardson, and Charlie and Tiffany Anderson; brother, Wayne (Charlene) Anderson; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He has now been joyfully reunited in heaven with his parents, Sherman and Wilma Anderson; his 30-year girlfriend, Jerry McCullough; his brother, Rod Vance; and his sister, Sherreldene (Vance) Lee LeFevre.
His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, and his adventurous spirit will never be forgotten.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
