Shirley Ann Goddard Brunson

March 3, 1938 — September 14, 2024

Meadow

Born March 3, 1938 in Fillmore, Utah to Roy Kenneth Goddard and Elaine Melville Goddard.

Died September 14, 2024 surrounded by family at her home in Meadow, Utah.

She was married to Byron Vern Brunson on June 1, 1957 and sealed March 18, 1966 in the Salt Lake Temple.

She worked for First Security Bank in Salt Lake, Tooele, and Dugway.  Her favorite hobbies were knitting and sewing.  She knitted 100-150 hats each year and would donate them to different places, like Primary Children’s Hospital, Shriners Hospital, local schools, and homeless shelters.  She also did many service projects for the LDS church.  This kept her hands and mind busy for years.  Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren have hats, afghans, and quilts made for them by Shirley.

She had 7 children, two of which preceded her in death, 14 grandchildren (one of which preceded her in death), and 16 great-grandchildren.  Children and grandchildren are spread throughout the US.

Shirley wanted a small graveside service with a short viewing/visitation before the service at the Fillmore City Cemetery on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, beginning at 10:30 am viewing/visitation and at 11:15 am for graveside service.

Recordings will be available for 60 days from date of service.
