Steven Don Sorensen

Steven Don Sorensen passed away June 21st, 2023 at his home. He was born February 13, 1955. He was the son of Don LaMont Sorensen and Shirley Lund. Steven attended Hillcrest High school in Midvale Utah, and he also attended Trade Tech in Salt Lake City. Steven was a member of the LDS church in his early years, as well as being active in scouting, and coaching baseball. He was an expert guitar player, singer, songwriter; learning to play the guitar at the age of 7. At one point he formed his own band called Harpo Skank. One of his favorite jobs was working for United Concerts, affording him the opportunity to jam with some of the very best in the music industry, including (but not limited to) Charlie Daniels, and Ozzy Osbourne. He loved to write music and cowboy poetry. He loved riding his many Harley Davidson’s with his friends that he owned and built himself over the years. He loved to camp, fish and just be in the mountains with his family. His lifetime nickname was Keeper Moon. He married Sherilyn Laura Arnold July, 22 1978. They had a angel baby in January of 1978, and then had their wonderful son, Harley David Sorensen in February 1980. Although they later divorced, they always loved each other, and remained great friends throughout the years.
He is survived by his mother, Shirley Sorensen, his son Harley Sorensen, his daughter-in-law Alisha, and his 5 beautiful grandchildren:
Nativity, Haylea, Zoey, Jaysa, and Gibson, as well as his brother Randy.
He is proceeded in death by his father, Don Sorensen, and his 2 brothers Gary and Michael.
Graveside services will be held June 27th, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Spring City Cemetery, followed by a luncheon at the new Spring City Church on the north end of town. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
