Peacefully passed away at home on August 25th, 2024 at the age of 85. A valued father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Walt was born February 13th, 1939 to Walter Clayton and Sadie Barney in Duncan Arizona.
After high school Walt served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, he loved serving the people of Mexico.
Walt's passion in life was barbering, where he made life long friends and where he was able to speak Spanish fluently. He also loved being Santa Claus. Each year he would grow out his beard and perform as Santa at the ZCMI Center (SLC) and the University Mall (Orem) and many family Christmas parties.

Albert, Stefan (Shawneen), Phillip (Jennifer), Sam (Christi), Holly (Duane), Marie.
Brother Edgar Roland and many loving grand children and great grand children.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Nathan A, Jay Frances, Sherwin Ray, Chester Clayton, and Lawrence Aaron. Sisters: Cheri Janet, and Doris Jean.
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Arturo and Sophia for their loving care of our father, and others from Inspiration Home Health and Hospice.
Viewing will be held Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024 at the LDS chapel in Fountain Green, Utah. 151 South 200 West from 12:30 to 1:30 PM. He will be laid to rest in the Fountain Green Cemetery, a graveyard service will be held.
