Wendy Robison Ellison

August 8, 1953 — July 15, 2022

8/8/1953 ~ 7/15/2022

Our beloved mother, wife, and grandma, Wendy Robison Ellison, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in her home on July 15, 2022 in Flowell, Utah.

Wendy was born on August 8, 1953 in Fillmore, Utah, the oldest of three children, to parents Melvin Junior and Pearl Robison. Wendy grew up on the family farm in Flowell, Utah where she learned to work hard and enjoyed many adventures with her siblings and cousins. She graduated from Millard High School in 1971. After high school graduation she attended BYU and Lane Community College where she graduated with an associates degree.

She married David LeRoy Ellison in the Manti Temple on August 3, 1973. After David and Wendy were married, they lived in Oregon for four years where they welcomed three children into their family. After they returned home to Flowell in 1977, they were blessed with three more children. In addition to being an excellent homemaker, Wendy worked as a bookkeeper in the family trucking company and later as an administrative assistant for Sunrise Engineering for over 20 years. She was actively involved in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in various callings, including Relief Society President, Ward Mission Leader with her husband, cub scout leader, primary teacher, organist and pianist. Wendy had the unique talent of being able to sit down at the piano or organ and play any hymn or musical number placed before her flawlessly.

Wendy was a woman of quiet strength and selflessness who spent her life serving and taking care of others. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life like reading, sewing, gardening, playing the piano, and spending time with her family. Through her example, she taught her children and grandchildren the value of hard work and enduring to the end. She had the ability to make everyone she came in contact with feel special and important. She loved her family and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will truly be missed.

She is survived by her husband, David; seven children, David Ellison Jr., Fort Smith, Arkansas; Trevor Ellison, Flowell, Utah; Shawna (Brian) Felter, West Warren, Utah; Layne (Shantry) Ellison, Flowell, Utah; Landon (Tia) Ellison, St. George, Utah; Brenda (Cameron) Holt, Salina, Utah; and Taryn (Jeremy) Hall, Hooper, Utah; her mother, Pearl Robison; sister, Tess (Rick) Woods; brother Durand, (Julie) Robison; foster brother, Alvin (Cindy) Young; and 21 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Melvin Junior Robison; and her grandparents, Wendell and Stella Brinkerhoff; and Melvin and Fauntella Robison.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Flowell Ward chapel. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00
p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Flowell Ward. Internment will be at the Fillmore City Cemetery.
