A Mothers Tribute
11/27/2001 ~ 6/25/2021
Weston Lane Peterson was only 19 years old when his mortal journey ended on June, 25, 2021–due to a tragic accidental drowning. Weston was born Nov 27, 2001 in Orem, Utah. Weston was a true blessing and reminded his family to be grateful as he was born close to Thanksgiving. He had a loving heart and a cowboy spirit. He sat on a horse at only 6 months old, and by the time he was 4 years old he had re-watched the horse movie spirit only about 100 times. He was unashamed to wear Wrangler Jeans and Cowboy boots everywhere throughout his entire life. He was a true cowboy and many people would agree that he was born 100 years too late. His love and devotion was for his Heavenly Father, horses, hunting, his family, the outdoors, and country music. His laid back easy going attitude made him the best young man to sit and visit with or listen to country music with and talk about life.
His love of sports started early with playing city league baseball, and then church basketball with friends. When a Jazz game was on he became one of the loudest fans in any living room. He was so talented with so much potential.
Weston Lane grew up in Indianola out of city limits where he loved shooting bb guns with his brothers, playing on the farm and where he learned the value of hard work. He took pride in earning what he could with his own two hands, and he wasn’t afraid to get his hands dirty. He
gave his all when he set his mind to accomplish something. Weston worked for MKJ Construction and proved he could handle any task that was asked of him. Weston’s life has touched so many people and he will be so deeply missed here as he has been asked to return home to complete a new mission in heaven. Everything about him, his laugh, his sense of humor, his smile, his handsome face will be so truly missed by everyone who knew him. He will never be forgotten, as he has left a legacy of love and loyal friendship that will be carried in our hearts forever. May God be with you till we meet again.
Weston is survived by his father, Erik (Jolynn) Peterson, his mother, Rebecca (Tim) Johnston, sister Lacey (Zach) Lofgreen, niece Atlys, nephew Gryffyn, and brothers, Cody, Dustin, Tyson as well as stepsiblings, Brayden Morris and Brooklyn Morris. He also leaves behind too many friends and family to name or count.
A graveside service will be held on July 2, 2021 at the Fairview City Cemetery at 11:00 am. Visitations will be held at Rasmussen Mortuary 96 N 100 W, Mt Pleasant, Ut on Thursday, July 1st, from 6-8 pm for those who would like to pay respects to the Johnston family and Friday, July 2nd from 9-10:30 for those who would like to pay respects to the Peterson family.
